Catch Up Premium
What catch-up funding is for
In June 2020 the government announced additional funding to support children and young people to catch up on missed learning caused by coronavirus (COVID19). This is especially important for the most vulnerable pupils and pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds who we know have been most affected.
- Our school received £80 for each eligible pupil from Reception to Year 6 for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Using catch-up funding
We used this funding for specific activities to support our pupils’ education recovery in line with the curriculum expectations in the actions for schools during the coronavirus outbreak guidance. We used this funding in a way that suited our cohort and circumstances, for specific activities which will helped pupils catch up on missed learning. We used the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) coronavirus (COVID-19) support guide for schools to plan our strategy with evidence-based approaches to catch up for all pupils.
Schools now receive ‘Recovery Premium’ which is accounted for in our Pupil Premium Strategy
