Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome to St Gabriel’s CofE Academy
Welcome to St Gabriel’s CofE Academy, a Church of England primary school for children aged 4-11 years, opened in September 2018 in Houlton, Rugby.
St Gabriel’s CofE Academy is a place where our distinctive and inclusive Christian ethos should be evident to all. We follow Jesus’ teaching to: ‘Love one another. As I have loved you,’ and through this, we want to provide a fantastic education where all children and staff develop and achieve to their full potential. Named after the Angel Gabriel, the Bible’s great communicator, our school seeks to transmit this message of love and growth to the individuals, families and communities we serve.
Christian values underpin everything we do; focusing on Love, Community, Respect, Growth and Integrity and you can find out more about this through our vision and ethos pages.
I am grateful to be joined by a wonderful staff team of dedicated professionals who share my belief that it is a great privilege to educate the wonderful pupils here at St Gabriel’s – you can find the team here.
As a school in a newly established and growing area, we rely on the support of our local community and our parent body to work collaboratively for the benefit of our children.
We ask that all families at St Gabriel’s agree to our home/school approach and that parents and visitors are mindful of our code of conduct which is found below.
We know that a clear line of communication is vital to our partnership and families are encouraged to speak regularly with members of staff.
Direct or specific enquiries should be directed to office@stgabrielscofeacademy.org where the office team or a member of the leadership team will assist you.

“It is a tremendous privilege to lead St Gabriel’s CofE Academy as its inaugural Headteacher. Working to establish a wonderful school at the heart of a new and vibrant community in Houlton is an exciting challenge and I am thrilled to be in a position to shape the culture of the Academy.
I am passionate about individuals fulfilling potential, and strive to ensure our team does all we can to meet the needs of every child so that they feel valued, loved and able to flourish. Fundamental to this aim is the development of a strong partnership between school, home and the wider community and I am committed to serving the children and families of St Gabriel’s CofE Academy in every way I can.”
