Things to Remember

Children will be provided with a fruit snack and you can sign up for your child to receive milk, which they will be able to help themselves to throughout the morning. Your child will need to bring a named water bottle to school. It is really helpful if your child can bring a change of underwear in their bag in case of any accidents. On Tuesdays the children have their PE session; please send the children into school in their school uniform as usual but bring a named PE kit with them in a separate bag.

 

Home Learning

We communicate with parents through Tapestry. You will receive regular updates about your child’s learning and we encourage parents to share home learning on Tapestry too. Suggestions for ways to support at home are shared on this platform.

 

Children bring home word cards matching the phonemes they have been taught in Phonics. Children also bring home Tricky Troll Word cards to practise at home.

 

Your child will be given a library book and a Phonics book to take home. The library book is for them to enjoy sharing at home and is not a book that they can read independently. The Phonics book contains phonemes that your child knows so they will be able to read this book to you. Please return books to school each Thursday so that they can be changed.
