Special Educational Needs

At St Gabriel’s, we work to support pupils with specific learning needs or disabilities. The school Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Coordinator – Mrs Roberts (SENDCo); in collaboration with our learning support team, work with our families, teachers and a wide range of agencies, to ensure support is provided for all our pupils to make progress and that the SEND code of practice is upheld. Please get in touch with your child’s teacher if you are concerned in any way about their progress or development. What to do if you think your child has SEND. Where appropriate, we can provide additional classroom support, gain advice from a specialist teacher or consult with an educational psychologist as part of our approach to SEND support.

Information and Advice

As parents, ensuring the right support for your child may at times feel a confusing or overwhelming process. Warwickshire SENDIASS (Special Education Needs Information Advice and Support Services) support parents and carers of all Warwickshire children with special educational needs and disabilities, from 0 – 25 years of age.  Their experienced team of local advisors offer free, impartial, confidential advice and support on all matters relating to SEND, helping you to make informed decisions for your child. They are here to help and can be a valuable source of information as you navigate the support systems on offer. Local Offer

We are a school in the Warwickshire Local Authority who are responsible for a range of services and support available across education, health and social care for families with children and young people aged 0 to 25, who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.
