St Gabriel’s Church of England Academy is a proposed state-funded Church of England primary school for children aged 4-11 years, which plans to open in brand new, purpose-built accommodation at Houlton, Rugby CV23.
Scheduled to open in 2018, the school building has been designed with enough space to accommodate a full two form-entry school in the future. The long-term plan is for the school to eventually expand into a three form-entry school.
St Gabriel’s Church of England Academy will have a distinctive and inclusive Christian ethos, raising educational standards by providing an inspirational, aspirational and holistic education where all children and staff develop and achieve to their full potential. Named after the angel Gabriel, the Bible’s great communicator, the school will embrace the heritage of the site as a leader in communications and will seek to transmit its ethos to the individuals, families and communities it serves.
The fruition of a partnership between Coventry Diocesan Board of Education (DBE) and Urban&Civic, St Gabriel’s Church of England Academy is proud to join the growing family of high-performing DBE schools.
